Jeff Walker’s journey at Dominion Langstaff began as a summer student at the age 16. His natural affinity for the tools of the trade was evident from day one, setting the stage for a career full of achievements.

In 2000, at the end of his second summer at the company, Scott Byberg recognized Jeff’s potential and offered him an opportunity to prove himself as an estimator. Jeff readily accepted, and never looked back. His commitment to excellence was rewarded when he was promoted to chief estimator just 6 years into his career.

With his ongoing dedication to learning, Jeff expanded his skills through courses that focused on estimating and leadership at The Toronto Construction Association and the World of Concrete. He became a member of the Toronto Construction Association’s Young Leaders, and started to attend many of the industry's social events to further his contacts and increase awareness of Dominion/Langstaff. His proactive approach helped Dominion/Langstaff secure successful projects like 85 Bleaker St and 100 Wyngarden, expanding the company’s reach and reputation.

When the Dominion/Langstaff expanded to Ottawa in 2007, he assumed a dual role, managing projects both in Ottawa and at the head office. This proved to be pivotal in strengthening the company’s foothold in Canada’s capital city. Over the next several years, Dominion/Langstaff expanded even further into the region as the company completed projects such as Place de Ville, 160 Elgin St in Ottawa, 145 Cosburn Ave, and 300 Webb Dr.

In 2014, recognition of Jeff’s outstanding contributions came in the form of a promotion to Vice President, and later an owner of Dominion/Langstaff. His crowning achievement was when the company was granted the 2014 Project of the Year Award by the Toronto Construction Association for the $12 Million Restoration of the Sheraton Centre.

Jeff believes in rallying everyone at Dominion/Langstaff and using their combined strengths and skills to meet the increasing complexities of modern projects. As the company nears its 100th anniversary, his vision is clear: optimize standards and passionately embrace new ideas to maintain Dominion/Langstaff’s position as an industry leader in Canada.
