Jason started his journey at Dominion/Langstaff in 1995, at the age of 21. He was raised on the principles that hard work, perseverance, and dedication were going to be his mission, and he took that to heart. He recognized soon after joining Dominion Langstaff as helper that the opportunity to grow and learn was going to be a constant throughout his life and career.
From the very start, he thrived on listening and learning from the senior foreman in the company, and just five years later he became a senior foreman himself, where he quickly found his niche. Working on projects such as the Eaton Chelsea Hotel, First Canadian Place and The Liberties Condominium, his ability to manage complicated sites, combined with his passion for working with consultants and owners, were precursors to his next phase.
In 2016, Dominion Langstaff’s ever-growing project and client list necessitated a new project manager to keep it all together. The ideal candidate was someone who was already familiar with the company’s proprietary project management style, so they could step in right away and hit the ground running. With his proven track record, insider knowledge of our procedures, and an intuitive understanding of what was expected, Jason was a natural choice.
Since that day, he has fit in perfectly at the office and has built a reputation for being fair, conscientious, and understanding of clients’ needs. As a project manager/estimator, Jason has guided Dominion Langstaff on projects ranging from minor inspections to those worth several million in value, including the London City Centre, Sheraton Centre, and Scotia Plaza.
Jason has never lost sight of what got him to where he is today, and he continues to show up every day with the same commitment to hard work, perseverance, and dedication that he demonstrated on his very first day. His approach to project management has received favourable comments from the many consultants and owners he has worked with, and he continues to enjoy working with them.
Throughout his years of success, Jason most cherishes the relationships he’s built with those he works with and the memories that have been created as a result, both during and outside of work.
